72-Year-Old North Versailles Walmart Greeter Punched In Face
Paul Washington Accused Of Assaulting Store EmployeeNORTH VERSAILLES, Pa.–Police in North Versailles said a 72-year-old man working as a greeter at Walmart was punched in the face by a man who entered the store on Tuesday.
Video shows Thomas Jenkins lying on the ground after being punched by the suspect, who is walking past him.
Chief James Comunale told Channel 4 Action News’ Sheldon Ingram that Thomas Jenkins was standing at the entrance to the store, located on Route 30, when Paul Washington walked up to him and punched him in the face.
Surveillance video shows Jenkins walking up the sidewalk into the store. The suspect can be seen at the entrance. The video shows the punch being thrown and Jenkins falling to the ground.
“He had lost a lot of blood. His teeth, his plate, had been broken and he was bleeding very heavily. We were trying to control the bleeding,” said Sgt. Vincent DiCenzo of the North Versailles police.
Ingram reported that DiCenzo was parked right in front of the entrance during the incident and can be seen in the surveillance video in a white Ford Explorer. Police said Jenkins was still on the ground as the suspect walked past the police vehicle and jumped into the passenger seat of a car.
“So I went over to the vehicle, removed the passenger and put him in my police car,” DiCenzo said. “I originally asked him, ‘Why did you punch him?’ and he said, ‘He bumped me.’”

Most of the local media cited “racial tensions,” but did not mention the actual race of the attackers. The local AP affiliate broke rank and reported the racial makeup of the school and that the attackers were black. The local CBS station actually lied about the attackers claiming “the attackers were black and white.” The school is less than 5% white.
Philly district officials, who are mostly black, predictably said the attacks were “not racially motivated.” Whenever someone goes out of their way to claim an attack was not racially motivated, it’s always racially motivated.
South Philadelphia High has been labeled “persistently violent. Attendance dropped by 300 students following the 07-08 school year, which was it’s most violent in history.
This is the ugly reality of Obama’s America and its only going to get worse.
