Old Atlantic and others have several good comments beneath my recent post on Nazi’s, here is a small exerpt, make sure to read them all and I’ll offer my thoughts at the end…
The Nazi thing is complex and open for debate. I don’t represent what follows as explaining its appeal now, its just what strikes me now to write in terms of what the problems are for us in a positive sense to create a mass movement of our people, which is why you are raising this issue at least in part.
To the Left, Nazi anything is a symbol to be used. To the Left, Nazi is used to suppress us to have any political movement for whites to have their own lands or control their own lives. So for the Left, these are symbols of hatred of whites when they use them.
Nazi symbols are visual symbols that appeal to the eye and emotions. The Left wants to deny us such symbols, music, etc. The Nazi symbols were a way to harness our emotions to a political end for the benefit of our people. The Left opposes us having any symbols, music, etc. that will appeal to the emotions of our people to rally them to actually fight back and win.
This is why the Celtic cross is relabeled Nazi by the Left. Remember Charles Johnson of LGF making a big deal of a Celtic cross in a photo of the office of Vlaams Belang. You can search on Vlaams Belang Celtic cross and see some links on that from the time.
Any symbols or music that are clearly white and are adapted to harnessing us in a political movement to actually have white lands of our own will be labeled Nazi even if it predates the Nazis and was not used by them.
The Left has us controlled. Any attempt to have symbols and music that appeal to whites and are political for a white nationalist consciousness, the Left will designate as Nazi. This is what they did with the Celtic Cross. To the Left, its not the symbol per se, its the use of it for us to appeal to a broader group through emotion.
John Thompson makes a similar point…
Let´s face it, if you express white pride or show any inclination to support the white race, our opponents will immediately brand you a Nazi, regardless of whether it´s true or not. It´s similar to the terms, racist, bigot, hatemonger etc. That´s their defense mechanism, because at the end of the day, that´s all they really have, insults and accusations.
I´ve long since stopped worrying about their opinion of me, or whether a group fighting for white rights and self determination is seen by the left as “Nazi” or “racist” or “bigoted hate mongers” or whatever.
Once any white organization get´s to the point where they start to make a difference, the insults and accusations will start, regardless of whether they are justified or not. These people don´t stick to any sort of rule book, so I don´t see why we should worry about what they say. According to them, supporting the white race is akin to being a Nazi, so you can´t win.
So I say, to hell with them. Stop trying to appease them. You never will.
Let me start by agreeing with these comments, I feel pretty blessed to have such smart engaged folks commenting here especially considering how young this blog is. I agree that no matter what we do it will be called Nazi or racist or whatever will work to get the job done to shut us down. But that’s not the whole equation, if we are going to ignore the Left’s false accusations then I think we have the responsibility to police ourselves and not give in to the temptation to make this fight personal.
Here’s the deal as I see it: this whole struggle is not personal, I don’t hate Black people or Hispanics etc. etc
If you do you are probably reading the wrong blog.
This whole thing is about averages, aggregates, whole populations, not calling people names. If you want to call names please do me the courtesy of pissing off because you aren’t interested in actually solving problems. In fact you are doing that exact opposite.
And on the subject of symbols I have no problem fighting for actually non-tainted symbols which the Left seeks to strip us of, which is of course all of them. But if a symbol is actually tainted, the swastika comes to mind, then it is incumbent upon us to reject it.
I actually saw the perfect example of how I feel last night in a movie. We were watching ‘Falling Down’ with Michael Douglas and, as deeply flawed and silly as that movie was there was, one scene that perfectly captured my feelings on this subject, the scene with the Nazi surplus store, “I am an American, you are a Nazi freak!”
Yeah, that one. Now how we fight for those symbols, that I’m unsure of, any thoughts?
I want to end with this from Canuck Redneck:
I think it comes down to the difference between being pro White and being a White supremacist.
The way I see it being pro White is saying we are just as good as any other race and want our own place in the world, no more no less.
Being a White supremacist is saying we are the best of the races and our place in the world is at the top, no more no less.Nazis definitely fall into the second category, and while I am in no way supporting the Nazi ideology it is very easy to see the appeal it can have for certain people. In the modern politically correct world it sometimes seem that it is the ultimate sin to be born white, you are constantly told that your people are responsible for most of the worlds problems and that you must make reparations for what your ancestors did. So when someone comes to you and says that your people are pure and good and that you are descended from a line of kings it isn’t hard to see the appeal in it.
Exactly, and we need to try to help channel interested Whites into healthy expressions of ethnic and racial pride. The tag line for this site is ‘no hate — no racism — pro-White!’
And I mean that, what say you?
